  1. I AM HOPING THAT THE SPORTS MEDICINE COMMITEE WILL TAKE A CUE FROM F-MARC(FIFA'S MEDICAL AND RESEARCH BODY) AND QUICKLY GIVE US A DIRECTION TOWARDS FOOTBALL MEDICINE AS FIFA CALLS IT.WE NEED THIS CONSIDERING THAT TRAINERS IN THE NBA HAVE THEIR OWN ORGANISATION,I THINK IT WOULD BE GOOD TOO AND ALSO LOOK INTO IMPROVING REMUNERATION OF PERSONNEL,GIVE PERSONNEL STRONG INSTITUTIONAL BACK UP SO WE CAN REGULATE IT AND HAVE PROFICIENCY STANDARDS.ALSO I HOPE ALL SOCCE TEAMS HAVE PERSONNEL

  2. I ALSO HOPE THIS INCLUDES SPORTS SCIENCE, I BELIEVE THE CONDITIONING LEVELS OF OUR PLAYERS SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE TO BE ABLE TO COMPETE WITH GLOBAL KIDS.

  3. The terms of reference of the Sports Medicine Committee will be set out in the Bylaws and the Governance Policies of the CSA. The Constitution Committee has no authority, nor does it wish, to comment on the nature of the Committee's work.

  4. To improve the quality of a game and the safety of players who are competing at advanced levels there needs to be some form of standard regarding the pitch, lighting conditions, and the quality of referees. Is there a committe that is addressing these areas?

  5. We presume that, when you refer to competition at “advanced levels”, you are speaking of all-star competitions. The CSA has a Competitions Committee, which, according to the Association’s Bylaws, is responsible for administering and promoting the CSA’s national competitions. But the matters that you have raised such as the state of the soccer pitch and lighting conditions are, in the case of national competitions, left in the hands of the local organizations that are hosting these events. If there are shortcomings with these aspects of national competitions, then concerns need to be raised at the time with the hosting organizations.
